Whether you are entertaining or cosying up in front of the fire, our selection of Christmas cocktails and mocktails will certainly help you get into the spirit of things. Here’s how you can make them at home:

Welcome your guests in from the cold with the aroma of mulling fruit and spices:

Blackberry Mulled Wine

Serves 6:

1 Bottle of Red Wine
350g Blackberries
57g Brown Sugar
2 Cinnamon Sticks
6 Cloves
4 Star Anise
A handful of Juniper Berries
2 Oranges

Blackberries, Apple Slices and a Cinnamon Stick, for garnish


Pour the red wine into a saucepan. Add the blackberries, cloves, star anise, 2 cinnamon sticks and juniper berries simmer on a medium heat for 10 minutes until warm. Add the brown sugar and orange slices. Simmer on a low heat until ready to serve garnish with blackberries, apple slices and a  cinnamon stick.

Blackberry christmas cocktail

Mulled Cranberry

Serves 6:

1 Litre cranberry juice
90g dried cranberries, optional
150g honey
1 orange zested
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
7 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon


Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Cook for 10 minutes until warm. Remove from heat and discard cloves and cinnamon sticks.

Give the fizz a little twist with these sparkling cocktails

Sloe Gin Fizz

Serves 1:

15ml gin
15ml sloe gin
15ml lemon
5ml sugar
Champagne or Prosecco
Lemon twist, to garnish


Put all the ingredients apart from the fizz in a cocktail shaker, shake over cubed ice, then strain into a champagne flute. Top with fizz, garnish with a lemon twist and serve.

Apple Elderflower and Mint Spritzer

Serves 6:

A generous handful of fresh mint, chopped, plus extra sprigs to serve
Zest and juice of 2 limes
1 litre Pure Apple Juice
½ litre sparkling water
125ml Elderflower Cordial


Freeze the mint and lime zest with cold water in an ice cube tray. In a large jug, mix the lime juice with the apple juice, sparkling water and elderflower cordial. Serve in tall glasses with the ice cubes. Decorate with fresh mint.

christmas cocktail - pomegranate

 Pomegranate Martini

Serves 1:

Crushed ice
45ml vodka
45ml pomegranate juice
1 wedge of fresh lime
1 tablespoon caster sugar
85ml soda water
1 slice of fresh lime


Combine crushed ice, vodka and pomegranate juice in a shaker. Squeeze lime juice into mixture. Shake and set aside. Using the same lime wedge, run it around the rim of a martini glass. Dip glass rim into sugar. Strain liquid into glass and top with soda water or sparkling wine. Garnish with a slice of lime.

Cockail Christmas

Blood Orange Mojito Mocktail

Serves 1:

4 wedges of lime
Small bunch of mint
1 tsp sugar
100ml of freshly squeezed blood orange
Dash of sparkling water


Place the lime wedges into the bottom of the glass. Add a few mint leaves (use the remaining sprigs to garnish) and the sugar. Muddle together with a cocktail muddler. Add crushed ice to each glass, pour over the orange juice, stir to ensure the sugar dissolves. Top with a dash of sparkling water and garnish with mint.
