Home to the City of London Corporation and still the centre of government in the City of London, as ell as the setting for national and state events.

The impressive interiors of this Grade I-listed landmark provide the perfect setting for any occasion, large or small, daytime or evening – across eleven versatile spaces.

Amphitheatre

Roman Amphitheatre and Undercroft Gallery

Dating from AD 70 and arguably the oldest events venue in London, the City’s Roman Amphitheatre was only discovered in 1988 — when rebuilding of the Art Gallery began after the original was destroyed in the Blitz.

Your guests can enjoy a dinner or reception amongst the original roman ruins with a glass floor to discover hidden history under your feet.

The Amphitheatre also includes the adjacent Undercroft Gallery, adorned with a variety of London-based artworks, piecing together 2000 years of the City’s history.

Livery Hall

An historic old museum with a modern feel.

Situated underneath the Old Library, the Grade II-listed Livery Hall (so-called to reflect the City of London’s livery ties), shares many of its vaulted Victorian Gothic features.

Used as a museum from 1872 until the outbreak of WWII, the Livery Hall was restored and reopened as an events space in 2008
